HI all, I've had mojo since August, she is around 6 1/2 months old. I booked her in for a neuter as soon as she was 6MO on the advice of our vet who said that it was more risky before this age. She's had indoor and outdoor vaccs as I was planning to take her on a lead however she has been 100% indoor apart from a short prison break of about 6 hours since we had her.

I called the vet last Tuesday and booked her in for this coming Monday the 9th of Feb. Since then she has developed a very red patch on her chin, It's hard to the touch but does not seem to be causing her pain or distress at all. If it was I would have booked her in for an urgent appointment. My partner says that it's normal and we've nothing to worry about, but I've never actually had my own cat and am freking out.

She eats mainly dry food from metal or plastic bowls, she also gets freshly cooked meat, usually chicken or beef, she turns her nose up at wet food. She does have one plastic food bowl and one plastic water bowl however I only use them if I have run out of metal, glass and ceramic, and it doesn't look like cat acne.

I have no Idea what's up with her and I'm worried if she has some sort of condition that they won't be able to neuter her which will mean she will come into season and potentially be really unhappy.

Could this be an allergic reaction to something in her environment? or is it something more serious, I can't get her to the vet until Monday, I'm very concerned as it hasn't seemed to have improved but I don't see any behavioural or physical problems. she's still her naughty self

It could be chin acne.  Be sure to eliminate any plastic dishware or water bowls and clean the metal ones after every meal or at least daily.  Ask the vet to check it when you take her in for her spay.

I definately will ask the advice of the vet, thank you. The Cat acne on google looks very black and greasy though and hers does not look like this. I will try and get a photo. Like most things on google I'm sure the pics are worst case. Like if you type athletes foot and it comes up with someone with no skin on their toes.

I've searched all sorts. mostly ended up with results of VERY poorly Kitties. I guess it is a case of wait for the vet :/
