Can we see photos? Have you taken the cat to the vet? It probably needs professional attention if it hasn't gone away.

If she's having a Herpes flare-up, sometimes it takes more than just L-Lysine, or it takes MORE L-Lysine.  How much are you giving her, and are you giving it twice daily?

I had her to the vet to 3 months ago and he merely said possible tear duct and to see and I specialist. If it had been herpes I would think he would have said so. When I accepted the cat from previous owner she was fine. But they were moving and thought she might have scratched her one eye but the doctor said no scratches. I've read that stress can make the eyes water but its only one I

Lactoferrin is the other product.  But if it's a tear duct problem, don't think either product will help.

Stress can cause a herpes flare-up, so it's hard to know exactly WHAT this is...not honestly sure how they diagnose herpes in an adult cat..think it's mainly by symptoms, and not every cat is the same..

Is this the thread you saw?  http://www.thecatsite.com/t/267703/stubborn-herpes-infection-add-lactoferrin-in-addition-to-lysine

Yes thank you so much that's exactly what I was looking for. I really don't want to put this cat through surgery if I can avoid it. Again thank you so much for your help

Is it weeping and leaking clear fluid?  If so, it could be allergies.  If your kitty is having a herpes flare up, try upping the lysine to 500mg twice a day.  Give it a few weeks and see if you notice any improvement.  Also, a daily antihistamine might help.

Thank you for responding. I will up the lysine and I've only recently started it. I would think if it were allergies it would be in both eyes. I'm new to all of this so I'm going to keep trying all these suggestions
