she gave birth to 3. She payed on me till it was time to have them and went off to her box. Hand them and when one wasn't responding to her she came and woke my husband and I up with a little pawing and meowing. All are doing well now. Mommy is very proud of her babies. Thank you for helping!!

She has 5 now. After the fourth one. She came to lay on me and she had her 5th one on me!! It was crazy!! Her water broke next to my daughters head while she was eating and she gave birth to the baby on me!!

Oh my gosh! I sung too soon! She must have been really tired and wanted to be with you badly to come give birth 'on' you! Just know she did it out of love. [emoji]128570[/emoji]

It was nasty but I couldn't be happier. Mommy is resting now. Is there anything I need to do now for mommy?? Does she need anything special with her nursing or is it not the same as humans??

All you can so now is wait and see. Over the course of the next few days, there's a small chance that their bedding might need changing if the kittens soil it or momma is still discharging fluids, but she should be able to clean it up by herself. Just make sure the area is warm and draft free and she has food and water near her nest so she doesn't have to go far.

If she seems like she's having any problems taking care of the kittens, we'll be here to answer questions!

Mama needs access to as much dry and wet kitten food as she will eat. She can also drink kmr (kitten milk replacer). Nursing takes a lot from her, just like with humans.

You will also want to keep an eye out for a runt since there are 5 kittens and one or two may be pushed off the good nipples. Can you weigh them daily? It really helps to make sure everyone is gaining weight appropriately.

Post photos! Congratulations!

I'm very confused. Daddy is a flame tipped Siamese cat. I know this because my cats do not go outside ever since I own a husky and do not want to risk it. So how is it that my cat gave birth to solid black kittens and Tortoiseshell Kittens??

has to be. She's never been out of the house. I've had them since 10 weeks old. If she got out of the house our husky would have gotten her if she runs

Well, she is a Tabby and those pictures of the kittens look pretty glossy still. Maybe they are just dark right now? Tybalt was a solid grey ball of fluff as a kitten and his first big molt turned him solid black with white neck and feet. His brother was the same. I've seen kittens change color as they grow pretty often.

Come to find out mommy is what you would call a tuxedo tabby. Her offspring are black and one is a black Siamese [emoji]10084[/emoji]️ The other two black are solid and then the two multicolored have mom and dad colors. [emoji]10084[/emoji]️[emoji]10084[/emoji]️ Can't wait to see them grow.
