For my two 8 month old cats. One is 4.5 pounds the other is 6.5 pounds. Should I be adding any dry food...I read dry food is bad for them. I only buy the classic, grain-free FF flavors and no fish because of the mercury. Thanks!

HI there

Are you feeding them the FF kitten food?? I would go with a 3 oz can twice a day at timed feedings if you are going wet only

All dry foods are not create equal. Some are much better than others. I generally stay away from dry and feed my cats a variety of canned foods. When I do feed dry, it's a good quality one. Cats get most of the water that they take in from the food they drink and dry food has none. You can give them dry in between meals, but if they are satisfied with a wet only diet, you don't need to.

Oh they are adorable.

If they are still hungry, you can give them some dry but I wouldn't free feed it as they will get used to having it and will continue to want it after they are grown. Kittens need more calories than adult cats do. The FF kitten has more calories than the classics which is why I mentioned it. Mine still get it as a treat every now and then because they really like it.
Try giving them some of the FF kitten turkey. That's the one mine love

That is great advice, thank you! :) I will purchase some FF kitten. I was kind of unsure if they really needed kitten food considering they are only three months shy of a year. But I want them to get all of the nutrients they need. Thanks!
