Very pretty cat! She has another week to ten days to go if the male was in your house on Dec. 7th. I've never heard of a stray tom cat coming in and not leaving! Do you feed him outside? He needs to be neutered so he does not continue impregnating neighborhood cats.

I posted on the local facebook group and he is very well known for letting himself in to peoples houses and not leaving, I did not feed him, I didn't even know about him until he let himself in, I was more in shock on how Mylo just let it happen, when the stray got out he would show him how to get back in or get me to let him outside to give him a chance to let the tom in, he loved having him around, hes way too social for his own good!

the local children have named him scruffy my neighbour told me haha, he had a collar on that said "if this cat belongs to you please ring" I rang that number and it was a woman who lives around the corner, she said he stays at hers a few days a week and has been for a couple years now, I did mention neutering to her and she said she was meant to take him to the vets a couple days before but he didn't come back on vet day and she hadn't seen him since :/

I have a little question, when it comes to the newborns people say to weigh them to make sure they are growing properly but others say not to really touch for about a week after birth, which do I do?

I am very nervous of touching them too early as I remember when I was about 5 my cat had 1 kitten my mum told me not to touch it but I was 5, I thought it would be fine, I gently stroked the mummy and then gently stroked the kitten and left, next time my mum checked on them the kitten was dead, I know it was probably a coincidence but ever since I've been very nervous to touch them too early :/

I've never had a pregnant cat before, but from the other threads on here, it doesn't seem as if there really is such thing as touching them too early. Many people have to handle them at birth if the mother doesn't clean them up right away. You just have to be very gentle and listen to the mom cat. Mostly weighing is done right in front of her at least at first. Hopefully, some people who actually have had more experience with kittens will chime in.

It's fine to handle and weigh the babies. Doing it in front of mom is recommended.

okay then I have some kitchen scales perfect for the job so will take them upstairs next to her nest box.

shes a bit weird today, shes not really around today, haven't seen her much when I have shes been in the cat litter tray, shes scratching a lot so i might go get some advantage tomorrow but confused to how shes gotten fleas considering shes the indoor cat and its the middle of winter, when my outdoor cat is flea free, but oh well get some to be safe.

my main worry right now is she isn't eating, I know she looks small and skinny but she can eat like a champ if Mylo goes so much near her when shes eating she will growl at him, Shia doesn't share food, but I just called her down for dinner, she came down, sat in kitchen for a minute, didn't even go near her food bowls then ran back upstairs :(
