My cats stomach was mushy until she was like 5 weeks and that's about the time she started growing outward also she's now due any day and her sides of her stomach are hard and the bottom of her stomach is hard but not as hard as the sides
But will her stomach get hard? Her belly isn't big per say but it feels a bit harder? Her nipples kind of change so I'm not sure

We rescued our cat 5 1/2 weeks ago who is currently pregnant and due anytime between now and the middle of next week. Her nipples looked like your cats do in the picture. Her belly though didn't "show" until last week but she was very underweight when we got her. We were offered to spay abort but we didn't feel we could do that.

No, to me she doesn't. Cats' bellies spread out when they're pregnant, and I don't see that. Or maybe she will just have one kitten.

If she only got out 3 weeks ago, she wouldn't be showing yet. Cats are pregnant for 9 weeks. Around 3 weeks pregnant is when the nipples start to "pink" up, but cats generally don't look that much bigger until the final few weeks of pregnancy.

I agree with Lovelife, at 3 weeks you usually can't tell a cat is pregnant just by looking at the belly size. You could always take her to your vet in a week or so and have them examine her and they may be able to feel in her abdomen if she is or not.

The belly begins to "show" at 5 weeks. Her nipples are indicative of pregnancy. You'll know soon, and should definitely feed kitten chow and wet food now.

You guys are very helpful. Thank you all for your help. I guess it's a waiting game for now. I'll wait a week to see if I need to cancel her appointment or not.

You may need to wait a couple of weeks. You'll know for sure by then. She's very likely pregnant though.

I need to cancel her spaying appoint so someone else can have the spot ($25 spay). That's the only reason I am impatient to know because I don't want to hold a spot up.

Reset the appointment then for a later date and let your appointment go. If she's not pregnant, you still have an appointment but later. If she is, you can let the later appointment go too. Don't let her out of the house regardless.

I can't there is none left. Appointments are gone within an hour of releasing them. I'll hold on to it and hope I'll know soon.

I honestly think she most likely is. If you can certainly keep her in until her due date passes and then spay her, depending if she has the kittens or not. I really think its nice of you to let her have her babies. Not too many would.

I may sound odd and people might get butt hurt about this. But what right do I have to not let her atleast experience motherhood once. Don't get me wrong I do want her spayed because there are far too many kitties being left and need homes. Plus it's not healthy for to have so many litters. But if she got pregnant I am more than fine with raising her babies and finding homes within my friends and family for them.

I agree with you. I just couldn't bring myself to do a spay/abort. If you plan on finding good homes for the kittens and spaying mama as soon as it's safe, then what's done is done. Your cat is really beautiful!!
