I am testing a signature I just put. The lower quote, is a translation to English of the famous words Pancho Villa said when he sat a while on the Presidential chair of Mexico. It's a quote I think about everytime I see two candidates fighting it to the death in elections. What do you think of it?

Honestly in my opinion I think the 'b' word should be turned into ******* or some similar censor. Although it is a quote, some people find cussing offensive.

Taking in the cultural differences that exist, I would have to agree about the B word. I believe that some people would be put off by it. Perhaps you can just use another quote altogether?

Well, sorry for that, I am going to put a censor on the word.... Sorry, I was thinking that with it being a quote (and from someone who wasn't exactly Academic of the Tongue) no one would mind... But I had forgot that words that in some countries are considered normal are in other countries very, very bad words. I already had a misunderstanding in Mexico once due to a similar thing.

Anyway, it is a quote one needs to think about when elections come... I have always seen the presidential chair in those words as an allegory of all the money and power some people obtain through such positions.

Thanks for changing it. I'm glad u understand. I've seen people before get angry just because someone didnt agree with the profanity. I'm happy you were a better person about it then they were. It is a different quote though and does kinda make you think.

There were people who were offended by that? Weird people... I was happy that you people told me, since that way I could correct it. Anyway, I have got to understand, specially when you mention cultural differences. Here that word is not considered a bad word, it is just considered the word to describe an illegitimate child. But in other regions it can be considered a cuss word
. Allow me to give examples:

In Puerto Rico the word "Concha" means seashell, it is considered a pretty word, and a good name for a girl. Many people have the surname of Concha. In Colombia it is a very bad word.

Here in Puerto Rico "Bolsa" means bag, or purse. In the nearby Dominican Republic it is the worsest curse you can find.

In Spain the word "Bicho" is a common word for saying "insect", but here in Puerto Rico it is the kind of word that you can get kicked out of the place for saying it.

You can imagine how many misunderstandings there have been due to the variety of the Spanish language.

You'd be suprised how some people can be. This forum doesnt have that problem yet, but some I'm at do. It means 'illegitimate child' here too...it's HOW the word is used that makes it a bad word.
