I hope someone out there can shed some help with this diagnosis of Horner's Syndrome. My 3 year old, Peanut, woke up last Monday with the pupil of his eye appearing to have dropped.
I took him to the vet on Wednesday and he was diagnosed with Horner's Syndrome. After reseaching this syndrome on the internet for days now, everything I am reading points to blunt force trauma, which is not the case as I have raised in from a kitten and he is an indoor cat. More frightening is the underlying causes like tumor, lesions, mass in the chest, etc.
My vet said his ears looked clean and that this condition may just clear up on its own. If not, then I should look at diagnostic testing. I am so upset over this. He has not displayed any other symptoms; he is playing, eating, using the litter box, etc. If I didn't look at his eye, I would never suspect a thing from his behavior.
I lost a little boy three years ago who was only 9 months old to FIP and I cannot endure the pain of losing this little guy; he is my whole world!!! Is there anyone out there who has experienced this with good results?
