My cat is 6 years old, at first I heard it could be feline acne so I bought new bowls that were not plastic. That helped and I saw the acne reduce tremendously. Today I have noticed that Rishik now has two crusty-feel marks on his chin. I'm very worried, I can't seem to find anything about it online. I am looking for causes, treatments and if my poor cat is in pain.
Thank you guys!

Is your cat on inhaled medications or other meds?

It does look like acne. There is a medicated pad that has sonme kind of medicine that you apply to the chin for this but I can't remember what it is called-it looks like those round pads we use in the beauty department for human acne but don't ever use human meds on kitty without vet knowledge. The medicated pad I am referring to is made for cats.

Let me go get the jar and type it out. The jar is orange top with white bottom.

Also what about fleas? I don't think that is flea dirt as it looks really large for it but anything is possible.

Hopefully one of the advisors will see this.  This post might need to be moved to a different area for more traffic.  I don't have a clue what this is.  Good luck to yo and your kitty!  I hope he gets better!

Thank you so much! I'm going to purchase it right now, I highly doubt it's fleas since my cat doesn't really itch himself. You've been a great help!
I'm trying to upload a picture of this stuff but won't load. Its called chlorhexidine 3% PS pads. It made for dogs and cats. I bought it on Amazon.

I came here to advise exactly what you have! Chlorhexidine! It works fab and is safe around the mouth. Gently use a scrubbing motion and cloth, not too rough but it's okay to really get those spots cleaned.

Looks like acne to me.

the only issue I had with it-its smelly=my Honeybee jumped out of my arms when I tried to wipe her nose with it-She is on inhaled steroids and if I don't wash the mask enough she will get acne from the mask-I never got to use those wipes as the smell was pretty strong-so you could cut it in half and only use a dab-or rinse some of the medicine off but maybe your kitty wont mind it=I have heard several people say it works and my vet ok'd it.
