Once you see the kittens move there are usually at least 2 weeks left. Have you made a nest for your cat? Is she eating plenty of wet food and kitten chow? We have lots of great articles you can read on cat pregnancy, delivery, and kitten care.

A nest is made of blankets that you don't mind getting yucky when she gives birth, but can be washed. You'll need to use a box or plastic bin that's big enough for mama cat to stretch out in when nursing. No lid of course. Cats seem to prefer a quiet, private place like your bedroom, or even a closet in the bedroom. Then you put her wet food, dry food, water and litter box in the room nearby so she doesn't have to go far to get to them. Cats don't like a high level of foot traffic around their kittens. They want to feel that their kittens are safe. Show mama kitty where her nest is.

Thankyou I'll definitely do that, how tall does the wall of the box have to be? Her kittens are constantly moving about now & she's been sleeping all day long, occasionally getting up to eat. I'm so excited for their arrival! [emoji]128518[/emoji]

Four or five inches is enough. Don't know what that is in centimeters. It needs to be tall enough so the newborns can't roll out and short enough so mama can easily come and go. When the kittens are big enough to get out, it's fine for them to do so. Your mama cat is beautiful. I love calicos colored like that.

Thank you, I'll definitely do that & Thankyou again. The movements are increasing drastically and it seems to be painful to her as she's moving at certain times too, is this normal? This is the first time I've ever experienced cat birth so I'm so confused and I don't know what to expect. She's been laid down on her side, occasionally swapping sides and clenching onto the side of the sofa and making noises. Thank you all once again xxxx

She is uncomfortable and moving around to find a comfy spot.  It's normal.  If she will let you, try and rub her belly.  She may be in pre-labor.  BTW this might last a day or more.

Oh okay, she's really patient and calm and she also loves belly strokes (which is uncommon in cats) and I have made her 'nest' up and she seems to be comfortable in it [emoji]128522[/emoji] Thank you once again Xxx

She was in the squatting position a minute ago and I can still see her babies kicking, her back leg bones are still sticking out as though she is squatting but she looks sat down?

Some cats sit up and raise their leg to give birth. It sounds like she may be contracting, but it could be pre-labor. It's difficult to know over the internet.

It sounds like she is starting labor. She will lie down on one side to have the kittens.
She's moved to lay on one side now, but it seems like she's sleeping but she seems in pain.

I think it may be pre-labour but I'm not too sure myself. Her stomach keeps making weird noises and rippling everytime I stroke her.

It does sound like labor. I can't say for sure because my cat that had 36 kittens total never did a thing until a few minutes before the first kitten when she came and told me.
