My cat had a serious urinary tract infection about a year ago.  I've been feeding him Royal Canin SO (canned and dry) and Hills for urinary tract.  He eats everything with relish. I recently bought some Hounds & Gatos (wet-), but my vet said my cat couldn't have any food that wasn't formulated for urinary tract infection prevention.

Does everyone agree with that?  Has anyone fed Hounds and Gatos to a cat with a history of UTI?

As long as it's wet food, with added water, is better than any dry!!

I strongly believe that foods formulated for UTI, are scams. All they need is  more water to keep them flushed..IMO!

Update:

My cat Alex is doing fine with a mixture of Hills Urinary Tract stew and Hounds Gatos with lots of water added.  He's peeing and pooping like crazy!  He loves both foods - yay!

Thanks for the update. That's great that Alex is doing well on his new diet. Hopefully that will keep the UTIs at bay.
