I am glad that one of the elite vet schools is doing a study. If they could just come up with a definitive diagnostic test that would be really good. So many people are left with waiting until their kitty gets really sick and even then there is no 100 percent diagnostic test.
I know it's also found in other species of cats in the wild. It is especially prevalent in cheetahs which I think is a clear indication that there is a genetic factor involved. All of the cheetahs are related because only a few cheetahs survived the last ice age.
