New to TCS but not new to cats. I have always had cats in my home for as long as i can remember (3-4 yrs old) and as far as i am concerned will always have them in my home. I currently have 4 ladies. Mighty Girl, Savvy, Poe, and Moonshine Dapple Shadow, called just Moonshine or Kitty Girl for short. Mighty is our lil old lady at 13 and she is still going strong. She loves to run and play like a kitten (even though she has more pounds than years on her). Savvy is about to hit 7 years old this spring and is sister to Mighty with the same mother and father. She too is a fatty but dont let her weight or age fool you. She is a real firecracker with a temper like a red head. She was mistreated early on by one of my children but has made it through beautifully since the issue was resolved. (He moved out technically) Then we have the feisty miss Poe at age 5 who only gets grouchy or bossy to other felines (or humans who fail to feed her 5 mins before dinner time). She loves the screened porch and sees herself as queen kitty. She gripes at all the other ladies when it is time for bed (only because the humans forced her inside to secure the house). Moonshine is everyone's sweetheart. She is almost 3 has softer fur than a bunny never meows except on very rare occasions and then never loudly. She was rescued from my sister who was taking her to the pound. I told kitty daddy that she was mine and i was bringing her home no matter how much it upset him. He is head over heels in love with her. It took 10 seconds. She has claimed me as her own going so far as to voluntarily cuddle on my tummy in the bath with the water running (only happens when she decides to make herself welcome lol)and is "nice" to others just to be polite. They are all short hair and various colors, in order, black and white, solid white, brown tabby, tortie. I will post pics soon. I also have 4 children, 4 dogs, lots of fish, 1 turtle, and a pet hubby who loves me dearly

Welcome Moonshine! It sounds like you have a busy home--a lot of kids and animals :) --sounds like a great place.

Looking forward to seeing the pictures. Little Moo and I haven't been here for too long, but I really enjoy this place

We definitely keep busy. Pet hubby especially as i work outside of the home full time and he is a stay at home kitty pup and human daddy. Savvy and Moonshine are slated for spaying this spring as is one of the dogs. Once that is done they will all have been taken care of so we can breath easier. My cats never go outside. Never. But ladies can get loud during their "Moontime" and we feel like they are miserable when it happens. I am terrified that we will lose one during the vet stay so i have declawed myself with the worry.

Just woke up big momma Mighty to get a face view. She looks sleepy or grouchy not sure which lol. She adopted Moonshine when i first brought her home. Was really too cute seeing her as kitty mommy and me as human mommy.

Welcome to TCS!
Your cats all sound pretty wonderful.  it's great you saved Moonshine from the shelter and it sounds like she's rewarding everyone with her sweetness.  You have a very happy sounding home, with a lot going on in it.  I see you've posted the pictures of your kitties but they are a little dark on my computer - that might just be me?  I have a pretty good view of Moonshine though and she is really gorgeous.  Savvy is beautiful too and I can tell that Poe is lovely.  I hope you get as much from this site as I do.  It's a very friendly place and there is a lot of information available, plus the members know a lot about cats!  Oh and we like pictures of other pets as well, so feel free to show off your dogs, fish and turtles!

The darkness is my fault. It is nightime and lighting isnt that great in my house. Poe flat refused to cooperate lol. I will try on Tuesday and Wednesday to get daytime pics. Those are my days off. Poor Mighty is dark and in the darkest place in the house lol. Can you tell how big she is? Big giggle starter here when she runs lol.

So Mighty lives up to her name?
My Paul is a big cat at 18 pounds and he always looks kind of goofy when he runs, too - he's no graceful little panther!  Looking forward to seeing more photos!
