My cat misty is a tortoiseshell white cat, She is nineteen months old and was born on 5/5/2014. She is very playful and likes to be around people. She doesn't usually like to be petted and meow when she is alone or when we are asleep but eventually goes to sleep too,she eats and drinks normally and is a healthy kitty with all shots up to date. She is a declawed and is spayed. She is an indoor kitty and loves looking out the window and playing, especially if it is a fuzzy ball or string.

Welcome to TCS!
This is a very friendly site and there is lots of great information here.  Do you have pictures of Misty?  We'd love to see them.  She sounds like an absolute doll.  Some cats don't enjoy pats but Misty might enjoy it more with age - no guarantee, but it does happen.  Cats and string go hand in hand, it seems - just be careful not to leave her alone with it.   Cats like to eat string and it can be a veterinary emergency to extract it.  Anyway, I hope to see you around the forum with pictures of your girl!

Misty is such a pretty girl!  And I think she knows it.
You actually don't need a flea collar if you are treating her regularly for fleas.   Plus, some flea collars are not safe.

Anyway, she certainly is gorgeous and looks very content.

She is a beautiful girl.

Good luck with your flea treatments. I haven't found much that will work. When I take my girls in for their yearly exams I will be putting them on Revolution.

I did some research on flea collars and took it off Misty, she has been wearing it for a month or so and I haven't seen any affects so I really hope she is safe.

Good job on the research!  I don't believe those are that healthy or effective.  The only good prevention is putting a monthly treatment on them or pilling them.  But honestly, I'd rather not give my indoor onlycats toxic meds all the time so I don't give them any flea prevention meds unless i see a flea.  I'm planning to put them on it for a few months in the summer time though.
