I noticed that my cat has suddenly been having hiccups, and is vomiting. The vomiting is very unusual for him. When he ate a raisin, and we gave him stuff to make him vomit, but he wouldn't, so this is very worrying. We don't really have money to take him to the vet incase it's nothing. So, can anyone help me/him? What is the cause of his vomiting and hiccups? Is it dangerous? He does not have scheduled feeding times, and he is 3 years old.

It has been 2-3 days now. I am not sure if he is vomiting everything, or just a little. It is very watery vomit, so i think he is managing to keep some down. He is still acting normal, and he is still very curios and playful like normal.

If this information is of any use- I have started giving him Wild Country treats for about 2-3 weeks now, and suddenly he has been eating them allot faster than normal. They are made with only real meat, so I give him one stick a day. Sometimes i hand feed him them, and sometimes i put them in his feeder toy. Could the way I give them cause him to be eating faster, as well as vomiting and hiccuping? He has no allergies to them, so that would not be an issue.

Hi there, did you ever resolve this issue? My cat has been facing this for over a year now and we are still unsure of what to do.

T TonyYanni - As this thread is nearly five years old, you might have better luck starting a thread of your own, telling us more about what's going on with your cat. I will say, though, if your cat is hiccupping and vomiting, you should definitely take them to the vet.

I probably will. I just haven’t seen much on the topic and our vets solution hasn’t changed anything sadly

If your cat is vomiting daily I would get an ultrasound done to see if its IBD or GI lymphoma. I would also try some easy to digest wet food only that's carrageenan/gum free and feeding 3-4 meals a day. Small meals is better for cats. If your cat won't eat after 2 days, an emergency vet trip is needed as they can die from fatty liver disease.
