This is Millie (named by my daughters), who we found crying under a shopping cart in a grocery store parking lot one morning in June 2015. Of course, we had to take her home. The vet declared she could eat kitten food, but might not be much more than a month old judging by her size (she was even too small for vaccines!). With her paw pads skinned up from being cruelly dumped, horrible ear mites, fleas and worms, it took awhile to get her healthy. But she is tenacious and spunky. She has pale blue eyes, her only stripes are on her face, she has a 'beauty mark' on her nose, her ears and tail are dark brown. I've heard her coat described as all the ingredients of a cappuccino. She is extremely friendly, has markings similar to pictures of the Rag Doll breed, is great indoors and she even goes limp when carried, but she is too petite and too expert a jumper. So, if there is any of that breed in her mix, the rest of her came from other mixed breed cats.
Millie greets everyone at the door and loves water, dogs and the vacuum cleaner! She is special buddies with my three year old and they play much of the day. She is also very affectionate to our 14 year old retired police canine (not the biting kind, she was a "search schools for drugs" Labrador and so had to be trained to be safe with kids). Avalon probably wouldn't mind the kitty body rubbing her so much if it weren't for the fluffy tail hitting her in the eyes.
Keeping Millie off of the top of anything is impossible since she likes water. Spray bottles don't deter her. I've never seen a cat so unafraid of loud noises. She is intrigued by it! When the children shriek and squeal or I drop a pan on the floor, the cat comes to investigate what made the sounds. I think some of her interest in strangers stems from separation anxiety after being abandoned and now being rarely alone. I work from home and care for my youngest and of course the old dog spends much of her time indoors, but Millie lets her feelings be known those times we are gone all day.
