The last few days I have notice another black cat around here. I believed it was someone's pet and chased it off gently one evening when it attacked Smokey.

Last night when it was raining I noticed Smokey was on top the garbage can where I glued pieces of yoga mat to make a bed.

On top of a crate I got on the bench is a homemade pillow with catnip in it. You can see inside there + Smokey likes sitting + laying there to communicate

with Cally + Tiger on the cat tree.

Low and behold there was that other black cat. I put food out + it was STARVING. It ate like crazy. Later I saw it sleeping in a bin I had made for Tiger before

he became an indoor cat. This morning he was out there with Smokey waiting for food. I cannot get near him. He is spraying around here now. As soon as I

can I will get him fixed.

He is a large solid black cat with one white spot below his neck but above his legs. The spot is round about the size of a quarter.

Thank you for caring for him.  The best thing you can do is to get him neutered as soon as possible.  You will want to stop the spraying.  I have heard that the males will often spray not only as a way of marking territory, but also as a way to make them feel more secure in a new surrounding.  Their own familiar scent is comforting to them.

Hopefully he will get along well with Smokey.

Hello,

I got a real good look at my new cat. He is very feral but I am now getting about 4 feet from him. His white spot under is neck is actually in the shape of a cresent moon laying down. I am calling him Cresent Moonshine. I only see him in the evenings, nights, + very early mornings. He is absent all day long.

I have a female feral (calling her MISSY) here that is solid black with a white spot under her chin and above her legs. Must be kind of common markings. She is also very elusive and random when she shows up. kind of rare for her to show up in the day.
