Did anybody else watch it? I thought it was great and I especially liked the twist they threw in there.  What I don't understand is that Cancer/Smoking Man died, so how can he be still alive? And smoking through the tracheostomy hole was just....wrong. So wonderfully wrong.

At work, we've been talking about some of the best X-Files episodes. One of my favorites was Home, with the Peacock family. I remember cringing at the tv during that episode. The Squeeze episode with Tooms comes to mind. And of course, Host, with the Flukeman. That was another one that was just so wonderfully weird; that one gave me the creeps. There are so many good ones.

Did you watch it yet? Are you going to watch it?

As you know I am watching it Pam but didn't watch the previous series years ago.  So far, so good but a bit gory.  I watch Criminal Minds every week and that can be very, very gory so I'm used to it.

Brrrr. Tooms. Scared me half to death! One of my favorite episodes had to do with a computerized smart building that basically gained self awareness and went bad. Also the one of the circus "freaks" in Florida where the villain was an underdeveloped twin that would detach from its brother host and go in rampages. So many good ones!

I didn't see the new episode but will certainly watch the rest of them. Good question about CSM - how did he survive a direct hit from a missle? I hear the Lone Gunmen have come back to life, as well. Ah, well that's the X-Files for you. It doesn't actually have to make sense!

Rigel, that tickles me that are a fan! I would like to have the entire DVD set, too.

Carol, I know you never watched the original, so I'm glad you tried the reboot.

Oh, wow! I did not know the Lone Gunmen were coming back, too! Now how cool is that?

Margd, I remember the one about the twin in the circus....downright creepy.

So many good episodes!

I think that's why I enjoyed Fringe so much; in many ways, it reminded me of The X-Files.

I watched the pilot on Sunday, and the Monday episode.  This is going to be so much fun.  My only complaint is that it is listed as a 6 episode series.  I'll have to start collecting the originals on dvd now.  Drat.  I' have so series I want to buy.  Which to get first...Numb3rs or X-Files?  I have all of NCIS and Criminal Minds.

My understanding is that Duchovny and Anderson only wanted to do six episodes. It's more of a hoot thing than anything to them, I think. They're not interested in doing a full season. (Do you know that she was only offered half the salary that Duchovny got to come back? I think I would have told everybody to kiss off! Rude and insulting. She deserved better.)

I would love to see it become a regular series again, but only if Duchovny and Anderson play the characters. If that wouldn't happen, then I'm not interested.

As for Numb3rs or X-Files? Well, X-Files!!
I need to start collecting them, too.

I'm sure you're right about them only wanting to do six episodes.  As I recall, Duchovny was thrilled to get out from under the series.  He really loathed working on it, although I can't remember his reasons.  I wonder if he's ever regretted not wanting to continue, since his career really never did much after that.

Oh, I'll collect both.  Probably one of each a month.  I'm also working on Bones at present.  Need to start NCISLA and NCISNO.  Gads.

I caught the second episode, and recorded the first.

Yes! Bring back the Lone Gunmen! I was so angry about the way they killed them off. That was just nasty.

So, I tried to watch episode 1, and discovered that DirecTV was unaware that the NFC Championship Post-Game show would push the beginning of it back by over twenty minutes.  Therefore, I got less than the first 40 minutes.  Sigh.

Would someone please send me a private message telling me how it ended?
I got as far as the abductee telling them that her abductors were humans, not aliens.
Thanks.  Margret
