Sick kitten with smelly diarrhea!

My kitten been sick for a month now with gas and smelly diarrhea. I'm super worried. Vet changed his food and gave him probiotics 2/21. Today is day 5 and no improvements. Please give me some guidance!

12/31/2015 – Chubby leaves and Happy continues Orijen.

1/2/2016 – Happy continues to have loose stool. Switched food back to Blue Buffalo.

1/9/2016 – Second FVRCP shot, FeLV/FIV check (Negative), Intestinal Parasite Screen (Negative), Feline Leukemia Vaccination, Second StrongID Dewormer, Revolution Flea treatment 

1/14/2016 – Visit vet for loose stool, Fecal sample collection, Giardia Test, Internal Parasite exam, prescribed Panacur 100mg/ml.

1/18/2016 – Finished all Panacur – Stool seems to be less watery but still very loose.

1/20/2016 – Gas returns and watery stool.

1/21/2016 – Blood in stool.

1/22/2016 – Vomited foam in the morning.

1/22/2016 – Visited vet. Told to stop Blue Buffalo and switch to Iams Kitten. Also given probiotics for ten days.

1/23-1/25/2016 – Diarrhea and gas continue. Didn’t notice any more blood.

1/26/2016 – Diarrhea seems to be more watery.

I really think given your kitten's age that you are dealing with a parasite.  Many kittens require multiple dewormings.  There is a PCR test that has to be sent out which checks for parasites that the in house test doesn't find.  Also even with the common parasites a test can be negative and the kitty still has them.  This has to do with the life cycle of the parasite.

Gas usually, but not always, is a sign of worms or parasites.  Smelly, loose stool is often a sign of food intolerance.  It could be that the food you're feeding is too rich.  I've never had good luck feeding Blue Buffalo,. so I'd definitely not feed him that.  I would actually call the vet and ask for a prescription food such as Royal Canin Gastrointestinal HE to see if that calms things down.  I also agree with @denise and would also recommend the PCR Diarrhea panel.  For what it's worth, I always recommend Royal Canin kitten food both canned and dry as a base for kittens.  Then, as the kitty gets older (6 mos or so), I start mixing in a small amount of other food.

I know its been awhile so its possible your kitty is better however in my case it lasted a year so thought I would chime in.  My first one got diarrhea so bad in the beginning at one point we thought we were going to lose her.  I had her in the vet at one point for IV to replace her fluids and they also ran a bunch of tests.  They told me it was IBS and put her on a limited ingredient diet.  It didn't work and we were at a loss.  We had to change our bed spread 3 - 4 times per week from the mess and Domino was miserable.  I did tonnes of research and tested out foods and discovered many animals have guar gum sensitivities.  As soon as I started feeding her food without gums her diarrhea stopped and we havn't had an incident in almost 2 years. 

There are very limited foods without gums:

Natures Variety "Instinct" (the large dog food cans are the exact same as the cat food - I emailed them directly to confirm when I noticed the same ingredients and taurine in the dog food).  This makes a much cheaper option

Heard there are other Nature's Variety without gums as well

Almo Nature - food that humans can consume- ie chicken and tuna flakes - however this is not a complete food - no taurine etc.  Only for supplement feeding, treats etc.  I sometime mix the tuna one in with other foods 

Tiki Cat (select Varieties) - similar to Almo in type of food however they are complete with all the vitamins and mineral needed
