We have 24 cats in our compound. 3 of them have patchy wounds and hair loss in several parts of their bodies (neck, tummy, legs, and back). We don't know why they have them. They appeared out of nowhere. What should I do?

On the flipside, I joined this forum because I wanna share a sad story about one of our cats named Lucy. Unfortunately, she wandered outside our compound last night and was bitten to death by our neighbor's dogs. We discovered her body this morning. :( She was small for her age (we could tell because her sibling's way bigger than her). I'm crying as of typing. (Sigh) But everything happens for a reason. I'm so sad right now. :(

I'm so sorry to hear about Lucy.  That happened to one of our cats once and it's such an awful thing.  I know it's happened to another member also.

As far s the patchy wounds with hair loss, it's possible it's ringworm
, but it's also impossible for anyone here to tell you since we aren't Vets, and we can't examine the actual cats.  If it's ringworm, it will probably spread to more cats without intervention.

@mrsgreenjeens  You're right! Turned out they're ringworms. I brought them to the vet yesterday.

@talkingpeanut  The 3 mother cats used to be stray cats. :)

Have you considered spaying and neutering your compound?  This sounds like a lot of population growth.
