I've got a little calico kitten, when they were born there were only two but sadly the other one didn't make it. anyways she's an only kitten and I've got three other cats including mamma and they all take care of her and play with her it's, actually really cute and mamma loves having a break lol but it occurred to me not having any other baby cats for her to play with might affect her socialization and stuff like that. she's really skittish she just screams when I try to hold her and pet her so anyway I'm hoping someone can just reassure me she'll be fine or tell me something I can do for her.

I think as long as she has playmates in her mom and other cats she will be fine. Are you sure they're not being too rough with her? I'm assuming they are all fixed? Mom should be fixed in another month. She can get pregnant even when she's still nursing.

Let her come to you. She might not like being picked up or taken away from her mom, but you can still sit on the floor with her and play with toys she can chase. Does she protest when you pet her at all, even if she comes to you?

And I just want to stress the importance of having her in a kitten-proofed room. She's too young to run around a full house.

Mom and her brother (yin and yang) are really sweet with her they just cuddle but my next youngest (o'mally) plays a little ruff sometimes but i watch them and the kitten never seems hurt or bothered by it she just keeps going at him. Yang is the only one whos fixed i ment to let o'mally and yin have a litter before i fixed them because he's a really light orange and shes all black i thought it would make some interesting colors but she got outside and came home pregnant so that didn't work out. They've got their own room as for kitten proofing im not exactly sure what that means but its just an empty bedroom with food and water a litter box and a plastic tub with towels an a soft bathroom rug yin decided she liked. I let the kitten in the living room with me for a few hours every day and i watch her to make sure she stays out of trouble she did actually come up and sit with me awhile today i think she likes my soft blanket she still ducks out of the way if i go to pet her so i just let her do her thing but she figured out how to climb the baby gate today so i put her back in their room

It can be quite dangerous to let an unfixed male around a kitten. They can become territorial and injure a kitten intentionally. Keep an eye on them.

It is also risky to let an unfixed male around the mom right now. It would not be healthy for her to have another litter so quickly and she does not have to go into heat to get pregnant.
