As far as I can tell the black is for sure a boy and the calicos are girls. As for the tabbies...I think there is one boy and two girls (or maybe it's 2 boys and 1 girl? The tabbies look almost identical!)

They are adorable! I love that calico and wish I could have her. I think I read somewhere that all calicoes are female.

This is most certainly NOT the case. My first kitty, Raisin, was a calico, and most of all, a male. It is rare, but it does happen. (as far as the name goes, give me a break, I was only 8 years old, what did I know?)

Good morning friends!

I can not get over how much I love these kitties!!

I've also heard that calicos are all female...and then I researched and now I tell people that there are also boy calicos!

Is it normal for momma to be a little constipated after delivery?

Mimi had a little bit of diarrhea (she ate 5 placentas) but other than that she has been fine.  She had wet food for dinner. I noticed small scattered poops in the litter box today that are for sure not her norm.

She should be okay. Make sure she has plenty of fresh water nearby. Nursing moms get thirsty. If she's eating wet food her poops should be back to normal soon.

Thanks!  She has 2 bowls of water near by...one right near the nest and the other near her food which is also near by

That's great. Her body is adjusting to everything. She should get back to normal within 24 hours.
