I am on my third week with treating my kitten with this ointment for ringworm. I am considering using lime sulfuric dip and was wondering if anyone has ever tried it on their infected cats
I'm certainly not an expert but I believe I've finally beaten ring worm in my rescue kitty. We're awaiting the results of his culture but we're nearly 2 weeks out and I haven't heard it's positive so fingers crossed.
But alas, I did use both lime sulfur dip and topical miconazole. I ordered the lime sulfur dip off amazon, diluted it to 4oz a gallon and sponged it onto him as I didn't have a bucket large enough. I did this every 5 days for well over a month, on the days without lime sulfur I applied the ointment. The dip smells horrid but I believe it's very effective. It's really important they don't digest it though, so I made Tiberius wear a cone of shame whilst he dried.
I was super cautious about exposing him to environmental contamination so every day I vacuum and dump the contents in the dumpster outside and I wash his bedding frequently.
Good luck! Ring worm sucks and takes time and patience but it can be defeated
