Hi! So I was exploring YouTube and found a video someone made about the Cat Sanctuary that I volunteer at. I thought I'd share this wonderful place with you all.

I love this place. It's beautiful, relaxing, and full of happy and well-cared for cats. No cat is ever euthanized (except if it's to ease them of pain near the end of their lives), cats that need to be medicated have staff that tend to them everyday, and there are homes for cats with Leukemia and FIV as well.

Hope you enjoy the video!

What a lovely video. The cats look so well cared for and have so much room to wander. It breaks my heart to think that those beautiful cats don't have permanent homes but I'm so grateful they've found their way to such a terrific sanctuary.

The sound track was spot on. I always loved the recording of TS Eliot reciting the naming of cats and Beautiful Dreamer fits as well.

How often do you volunteer?

Looks so good. I wish I had a place where I could set up warm cat houses for ferals, feeding areas, shelter for the houses from rain and wind, so forth and so on. Great you get to volunteer. I have two indoor cats now and one carport feral cat. I LOVE all three.

Apart from my wish that no animal is ever abandoned, neglected, or abused, is my wish that there are more of these safe havens for animals. So I am so grateful this cat sanctuary exists in my area to care for so many cats.

I volunteer weekly on Tuesday evenings and do the back pen of the sanctuary. I just started a few months ago but I know there are long time volunteers. There are people who come weekly to feed cats special treats and the cats actually KNOW the sound of their car, their laugh, and will gather to await the yummy food! Here's another video I found of this:

That second video is adorable - all those happy healthy cats following along for their treats.

This sounds like a great way to spend Tuesday nights!
