Faraday and Oona!

Hi There!
My name is Sarah and I've recently adopted to kittens. There's little black Faraday, who's my playful, snuggly, and brash little 7 month old guy I got about 5 months ago. There's also Oona, my creamy little shy girl who's been slowly coming out of her shell that I got about a month ago that's about 3.5 months old.

Just a little about how I ended up with these two:
I was planning on only having one cat but when I noticed that Faraday seemed like he might want a little buddy I started debating adopting a second kitten for both of us. Faraday just seemed a little lonely while I was gone and it started to get hard to meet all of his energy needs when my life got a little busier. I ended up seeing Oona on petfinder while she was at a cat rescue and fell in love with her fluffy little pirate princess self. As you can see sadly she had to have one of her beautiful eyes removed after it had ruptured from what the rescue assumed was an untreated eye infection as her some of her siblings had cloudy eyes from untreated eye infections. She's my gorgeous little girl and I think her pirate like looks just gives her face some character!

Despite how social Faraday was right before I introduced them I read quite a few horror stories online and became pretty nervous about the introductions but luckily my intuition had been right. Oona was really shy at first, she had just gotten her stitches out from her eye surgery a couple days before I brought her home so the poor thing was pretty skittish and had been obviously in a lot of pain for such a short life. Faraday was a total champ though and within two days he was breaking her out of her safety area so he could play with her and by the end of the first week they were cuddling and he was grooming her! It's been so incredible and enjoyable watching their little friendship grow!

I was wondering if anyone reading this has had a cat with Oona's coloring before? She's a dilute tortoiseshell point And can anyone tell if she'll end up being long haired? Her fur seems fluffy and is rabbit fur soft, she also has long tufts of fur coming out of her ears and in between her toes!

Welcome to you, Faraday (great name!) and Oona. The photos of your two beautiful kitties are terrific and I love the stories about how they came into your home. How lucky Oona was to be adopted by someone who appreciates her pirate look!

I can't answer your questions about her breed background but hopefully someone will come by who can.

Oona (I love that name--both names are great ) is so sweet and cute and fluffy looking. I think that her one eye pirate look is perfect...
