Well, here we are 10 days after my original post and still no kittens.....Bitzys sores are not getting better, but are not getting any worse. I have been trying to keep them clean and also keep the salve on them. She does seem to have the kittens have dropped look. She appears thinner to me over the last few days. She has not been eating much, but drinks a ton of water. She sleeps in three spots now in my bedroom, on her favorite bathmat, on my bed or in her nesting box. She sleeps in her nesting box mostly at this point as it is hard for her to get on and off of the bed. I know she is between 62 and 69 days, I have done the math a zillion times with the calendar. I believe though that she is 65.5. I first felt those little bundles on the 30th of Dec.....Any day now would be wonderful!!! I am one stressed out soon to be Grandma!!

You first felt the kittens move on the 30th of December? You need to see a vet, if she's overdue you are risking the kittens and her life. Same for her belly, if it infects the kittens are in danger when nursing and healthy and should not drink her milk.

I personally would see the vet. She will be fine even when this high pregnant and I assume mom is more important.

@Biancavd  I did not feel them move on the 30th, that is when I first felt them inside of her. I picked her up off the counter and there were small little golf balls all over her tummy. That was when I noticed she was pregnant. She has progressively gotten larger over the last few weeks. In the last few days she has dropped and looks much thinner. Her wounds looked much better this morning. I been putting salve on them every day. She is now back to being perky and following me everywhere. There was a few days where she did nothing but sleep, didn't eat much. I believe she is doing fine. I have been in touch with her Vet who said as long as she does not seem in distress (which she is not) and she is not bothered by the sores she should be fine. The sores are not near her nipples, only in the area where the skin has stretched quite a lot. Now that the kittens have moved down into the birth canal she has a little more flexibility. She has been secluded off in my bedroom and office for about 3 weeks. She has plenty of room to move around and her nesting box, food, water and litter box are all in that room. Thank you for your thoughts and I will keep you posted. The Vet also said that because she is a Fire Tip it is typical for her to go a little longer in term.

It sounds to me you are doing everything you can for her. Let nature take it's course and unless she is in distress it should be fine.

Wishing you and her the best!!!
for an easy delivery AND SOON!!!!!

Well everyone, STILL nothing!!!! I have done this math over and over. I first found the little lumps of joy on the 3rd or 4th of January. Wouldn't that put her pregnancy at that time between 4-5 weeks? From the 4th of January to now is 5 Weeks. She looks remarkably smaller over the last week or so. Her tummy sores are healing wonderfully. Kittens are dancing up a storm inside her belly. She seems fine. She is eating and sleeping and using the litter box normally. Some days she is all over me and others she does not want to be touched.  The waiting game is killing me, and now I am worried that she may be getting over due. We have no discharge or anything like that. Her breathing is rapid but has been for a short time. Am I doing this math right?? HELP!!!!

You're still okay.  A cats pregnancy is 9 - 10 weeks long.  It is better for a cat to carry too long than too short.  You can call the vet but if she isn't in distress all should be fine.

I think she'll go into labor on her own soon too. Try not to worry yet. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Nope!!!......Last night she curled up on me as is our normal routine and they were moving like crazy. I made my Fiance put his hand on her and he almost jumped out of the bed, it was too funny. She is doing really well though it is just me now that is an impatient wreck. Her tummy is almost completely healed up which I am very thankful for!!! She has been a little more active the last few days but pretty much just eats, poops and sleeps. How is your girl doing? Wouldn't it be something if they had them at the same time?

Me too!!!! I am a huge math nerd and I have been trying to run these numbers in my head over and over. It is just craziness. She is so funny, every night when I go to bed I have the same routine and every night she lays on my chest. At first I thought that it was to comfort  HER. Last night Jason (Fiance) looks at me and says "You know she is doing that for you, not her right?" I cracked up laughing and she cocked her head backwards and looks at him and "Meows" as if to say, "You're right, daddy" I laughed so hard!!! I am just glad that both of our girls are doing so well. I only had that one bit of a fright with her tummy and now that is better so I just wait!!!!

Actually, my pregnant cat slept on top of me all night the night before giving birth. Prior to that she slept right next to me. She was definitely comforting herself by using me! [emoji]128522[/emoji]
