my cats

I have 9 feral cats where I use to live at and i prove food for them and i have friends who feed them for me. Today i went  pass there to make sure that there shelter are okay and to put some extra thing in side there shelter are in the woods and some are in my old neighbor backyard but i'm scared that they will get buried in the snow if the snow get to high and will they survive in there shelter will they be able to come out because when i use to live there i could  keep a eye on them and dig them out but the lady who feed them shes elderly she can't go out and do it I'm just so scared for them.

Is it possible to move the shelters to higher ground temporarily?  Maybe an old table or a piece of wood on some cinder blocks?  If not, most feral cats have numerous places they use for safety.  If one is unavailable, they usually have other options.  If your friends are closer and you get a lot of snow, ask them to come and dig a path for the cats.  Be sure they can get to the shelters as well as move around the area.

It is best to stuff the shelters with straw (never use hay) as they can burrow down into it and it will keep them warm and dry.  If you are using blankets and they get wet, the cats cannot keep warm at all.

yes they are all spayed and neutered.I took them to community cats of Maryland

My cats live near a town home complex I use to live there but I live 6 mins away my plan is to get a fence and bring the friendly ones to my house but the other I don't want to live them so I have to people feeding them I give them food and I go by almost every other day and play and visit them they are still my babies most of the feral are nice the ones that don't let me touch them they are coming up to me and let me rub them but not a lot. my old neighbor call me and told me she couldn't feed them anymore because her neighbor are starting to complain and she doesn't what them to call management on her and I'm so mad because when I was living over there I had complaints to and I received letter tell me don't feed the cat and everything back then I had 23 cats but 6 of them put them up for adoption and there are find but it's like it's starting all over again about them being there and the reason that they are the because most of them were put outs and the other lady who feeds them she received a letter telling her to stop but she still feeds them I don't know what to do I done everything I talk to them about TNR and they don't want listen any opinions
