I moved out to an acreage, and of course cats will show up! There's one female who showed up pregnant and had kittens in the neighbor's shed (I only have one close neighbor). They took care of that litter and found homes for them. She had another litter about 4 months ago, and they're not as tame as the first bunch. They're now living in my shed! I'm making plans to trap and spay/neuter them soon, before the girls get pregnant.

Anyway, the mama cat has been getting progressively fatter around the middle, at this point she looks quite pregnant, bulging around the sides. I just assumed she IS pregnant again, and was making plans for her to have the babies inside so I could tame them and have her spayed. But I just talked to the neighbor and she says they had the mama cat spayed/vaccinated/de-wormed, back in November. So. . .I don't know! Should I de-worm her? Try to get her to the vet (or have the neighbors do it)? She's kind of friendly but a little skittish.

Tl;dr---cat looks very pregnant but is spayed. Any ideas?

I would try a de-wormer.  If she's that blown up, she must be in pain.  Even if you add some diatomaceous earth to her wet food, it will help.

Yeah, now that I know she's spayed, she looks less pregnant :tongue2:. It must have partially been my own worries about another pregnancy. But she is still fat in the middle. They took her to the regular vet, so she got her shots, de-wormer, all that stuff, when she was spayed. I'm sure it's time for another dose though. Her babies and the daddy cat don't have big bellies so worms don't seem to be a big problem right now. She's tame enough that I think I could just give her de-wormer. I'll give it a try.
