Hi guys,

New to the site, we have three cats that we rescued.
Two are brother and sister that are almost two years old and one 14 year old we rescued last year. The 14 year old took over when we got her, she was attacking the other two. We were at our wits end trying to come up with a way to stop their fighting.
For Christmas my wife got me a laser pen light. What was interesting was the old cat would chase the light as well as the other two. Somehow this got all the cats on the same page after four months of fighting. Now every morning the cats beg me to play with them and the laser light. They chase it up and down the stairs and all over the house. When I first started our two year old female magic could only chase it for about 10 minutes then she was too tired, today she goes 40 minutes nonstop, if I stop she comes over and begs me to play. All the cats are getting a great workout. This will help keep the fat off of them!
Thought I would share a great way to keep your cat in shape!

Ha, that's how I got my kittens and my newer kitty to get along, except it was a fishbone on a string :)

I have an almost-14 year old who is over 17 lbs. She doesn't want to play AT ALL. I try, and she just looks at me like I'm crazy. She's on a diet now which she HATES but hoping she will want to play more as she loses weight.

Hi,

Try the laser light, one of the two years old would not play with it at all, after two weeks of trying he now chases it all over the room. Neither of the two younger cats would play much with us until we got this thing

Oh, my three younger cats love to play. They love the fishbone on a string as well as the cat dancer thing I got. They jump up and fall on top of each other, just have a grand ol' time. Even my Sara, who is also almost 14 and has a bunch of health problems, like to play with it a bit. Maple actually seems scared of it! She backed herself into a corner when I tried to play with it around her, I felt so bad.

Maybe the laser pointer would be good. Of course, I could imagine my younger ones knocking things down like crazy with that lol.
