Today isn't for me because it's nice and sunny. That is always cheerful. It's blistering cold, though, below zero so far.

It's cold as heck out there! -20 wind chill, brrrrr!

Not a blue Monday for me! I feel a bit less crazy on Mondays for some reason lol.

Hmm well I had off work today so that was really nice! I don't like how cold it is but I got to stay inside all day. I think other days have been worse!

What about you folks in the southern hemisphere? Are there any Aussies or Kiwis who can tell us about warm summer breezes wafting over your swimming pools? Give us frozen people something to dream about.

Today wasn't the best day in my house.  I never got out of my pjs; so it wasn't all bad.  But it was one of those days where the kids were bickering, DD found writing her first name too difficult (she is homeschooled and in Kindergarten) and it didn't seem like much got done.  If the kids were older I'd have sent them outside to walk around in the dusting of snow we got.

Since I stay home with my kids and homeschool; I've found I like Mondays way more than I used to.  It feels bad to admit that!  But it's a day when generally we are home and back into a routine after busy weekends.  I do often grocery shop on Monday; but since we are home I can do it mid-afternoon and take my time.  Sometimes it seems I get the most housework done on Mondays too.

Well, it wasn't too great here either. I really don't like Mondays much anyway, but the good news is that I was off work for the MLK holiday.

My GF and I were to do some shopping yesterday and we were both looking forward to getting out. I had started in with a headache (right at my eyes, so I figured it was going to be a bad one) Sunday night. Sure as heck, I awakened on Monday and it was there. But I figured I was going anyway. We managed to hit the mall, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Dick's. And by that time, I needed to get back home. I felt terrible, both because I had one of the worst migraines I've had in a while, but also because it's been so long since I was out running around.

Got home at noon, puked my guts out twice, did a quick walk with The Beast, and hit the couch. And that was it until Rick came home at 4:30. We managed to grab some groceries, Rick made a store-bought stromboli for dinner, and I pretty much went to bed by 7.

So much for my great Monday off work. Mondays are crappy as it is; the only thing good about this one is that I had off. Not that it mattered.
