Anyone want to share their experience with hairballs in their cats? I have been working on getting hairballs under control. He hates to be brushed.  He throws them up once a week or so.  Some times more or less. he throws up food usually with a hairball in it. We started trying Cat Lax. I tried to order egg lecithin, bit kept getting back ordered. So we Tried Vest best hairball relief and digestive aid.  He seemed to throw up more hairballs, so ordered the other brand of EL. He has been on a half a capsule a day since Monday(11th).  I thought he was doing good. Not throwing up. That was until today after not throwing up since Tuesday night.  Im wondering If i should give it more time, or increase to a whole capsule a day?

What kind of food are you feeding him?  If he's not getting canned food, I'd add at least two servings a day to his diet and cut back on the dry food.  Sometimes they hack up hairballs because they haven't moved their bowels so there's nowhere for the hair to go.  Of my four cats, I only have one that tosses up hairballs and she doesn't do it that often.
