...with the cats...
yesterday evening i (finally) found the time to watch some shows with my netflix free trial. i actually watched two movies, one that i wanted to see and the other which i thought the cats might like -- they weren't interested in it, but i enjoyed it very much!

so with movies on my mind, for today's Question of the Day.........

What was the most recent movie you watched? Did you enjoy it? And, where did you see it? (ie, in a movie theater, a dvd or blu-ray -- or vhs, on tv, or streaming it)

as i mentioned, i watched two movies yesterday. the first was Hot Fuzz, which was a British movie and a kind of police comedy -- it was funny and i enjoyed it! the second movie, which i had hoped the cats might enjoy too, was The Penguins of Madagascar -- which the cats had no interest in, but i enjoyed very much! i streamed both movies via netflix.

okay, now it's your turn!

Red Riding Hood watched it on my dish channel MTV. I enjoyed it with actress Amanda Seyfried, she's one of my favorites. I recorded it:clap: on my DVR two thumbs up!

I was watching the original The Ghost and Mrs. Muir for a while last night.  Gosh Rex Harrison was so handsome in it but I was finding it too hokey to continue with. Gorgeous black and white film though, but from a female POV it hasn't aged well at all as a storyline.

We were JUST discussing the Penguin movie yesterday because we were watching another show about them.  All 3 of us agreed it was a fantastic nature movie. Heck, it was a great movie period!

On New Year's Eve, we watched a couple movies through On Demand:

San Andreas Fault (Dwayne Johnson) - Not bad at all

Pay the Ghost (Nicholas Cage) - Rather strange

Ricki and the Flash (Meryl Streep) - What I saw of it was more than a little weird. Not impressed. And I kept falling asleep throughout.

Penelope.

It was on the tely, there wasn't much else on at the time, and was just chilling and relaxing with my dindin on the futon.

I liked it, it has some hiccups here and there that I could critique about, but it offered some charm.

I watched Marco Polo, the first three episodes, on DVD from Netflix. I didn't like it. It was hard to understand the dialogue, and with all the Mongol and Chinese names thrown in, it was hard to follow the characters. Frankly, I'm not that interested in Mongolian history, either; I thought it was about Marco Polo. I canceled the remaining two discs and will return the two I have.

I didn't know you watched San Andreas Fault also,  I thought it was pretty good too.

The Good Dinosaur was the last movie I saw at the movies. I liked it!

Hotel Translyvania 2 was the last movie I saw at home last night actually. I loved it!

I saw a lot of movies at the movies this year....

Max, Inside Out, Goosebumps, Pitch Perfect 2, Pan, Cinderella and The Divergent Series Insurgent.

All of them were good, except Pan was predictable. And then I went opening weekend to see Cinderella I had to wait an hour in line never going on an opening weekend again but it was so worth it!

The movies I am planning on seeing are Allegiant (part of the Divergent Series) in March and The Secret Life of Pets in June.

Sex Tapes (that's a regular movie, I swear!), watched it on NYE. We had DVR'd it. Great comedy, with Cameron Diaz.

San Andreas Fault sounds like a good movie!
  i love disaster movies.

not a good sign (of a good movie), when we have trouble staying awake while watching it!
