This thread is meant for people to share their experiences with different types of cat food wet or dry that they will never buy or feed their cats again. It can be because of finding something out about the brand or flavor that makes you never want to feed it to your cats again. Like if your cat got sick off of it or simply just had an allergy problem while eating the food please share. You can also share if the brand was recalled or if the brand was dishonest about their product ingredients.

This thread is not meant to cause people to disagree with each other. If you think otherwise for a cat food product then what someone else describes please keep it to yourself.

If someone posts something about a brand that you also have had trouble with then give them a reply in thread.

Treat this like an open discussion

Have fun.

Kibbles and Bits Dry Cat Food. Comet ate one serving and something was not right. He was lethargic, diarrhea vomited a few times,  and wouldn't play. This lasted for a day. I took the rest and threw it away. Now its Purina One (dry) and that's it. I bought K&B to save a few dollars, but I'll go broke before I try something different again.

Evangers Classic Chicken Dinner wet food. I don't see how it could be appealing to any cat. It looks like grainy mushy wheat bran hot cereal and it had a really off smell. Once I saw it, I felt bad for even offering it to him. I don't even know if it's supposed to be a pate or not because I couldn't distinguish the consistency. Yuck.

Grreat Choice,  Petsmarts brand.  I had 2 dozen cats refuse to even take a bite(outside cats included).  I returned it all to the store had a few huge bags of it.

Science Diet used to be accepted well but last bag really did not go over well.

Currently feeding Pro Plan as got it on a great sale but will go back to Friskies after it runs out.  They like it and it is cheap.

Twin Pet brand canned food, which I've only ever seen at Walmart. The ingredients looked comparable to Friskies, but it was about half the price, so I tried a can. I split it between my three cats. Meilyr has an iron stomach (except when he eats things that aren't food...), but Mosey and Mendel threw up half a dozen times in ten minutes.

I will never EVER buy anything from 9Lives again. Oscar ate that once and his poop was as solid as his urine. Not putting him through that again.

Max Cat Indoor Formula dry cat food made my Sensative cat vomit almost immediately after eating it. I will not buy it again I gave the rest of the 16 lb bag to a friend with cats. Neither of my cats will touch any canned food that isn't Friskies in gravy formulas. Thinking about trying Fancy Feast gravy lovers though.

Merrick LID canned

They add food coloring to match the color of the can label. Made my kitten's poop red. The smell is vile and she had horrible breath and diarhea on it. They also lie about the food being single protein and having no egg. It does! It also has alfalfa which is questionable.
