I am beyond confused by the way shes acting right now. Zelda is 10 months old and currently pregnant. I am getting her spayed asap after her kittens are weaned as this was not a planned pregnancy. Zelda is currently about 5 1/2 weeks in and has been doing fine up until now. She is (and was) showing signs of pregnancy such as pinking nipples, morning sickness/loss of appetite, increase in appetite, and kitten movement which started about a week ago. Then just about an hour ago she started acting like she's in heat; sticking her butt in the air, acting extra friendly and even yowling a bit sometimes!
And also lost interest in her food. I heard so many different things about this and everyone seems to say something different. Some people said its normal and others said that its because shes about to give birth because her kittens died? I'm so confused right now. Why is she acting like she's in heat when shes half way through her pregnancy? I'm so worried about my baby girl
Might i add that she doesnt seem to have any discharge from down there.

If this is something serious then i will be taking her the vet tomorrow.

Thank you in advance. Help is very much appreciated <3

Are you sure she is pregnant? I'm pretty sure you wouldn't feel kitten movement at 4 1/2 weeks. If you haven't had her pregnancy confirmed she may in fact be in heat.

I am by no means a pro at this, our cat is a recent rescue and is due in the next week or 2 (vet is guessing) so my info above is from the many Google searches I have done in the last 3 weeks. I'm sure you will have more responses soon from more qualified people!

Yes, they can have heat alike behavior.   Perhaps even BE in heat - it happens, not often but not unique, they carry two different litters simultaneously, typically three weeks apart. With a little luck both litters may be delivered OK and healthy.  My ex neigbour had one such cat from such a second litter.

So bevare of intact cat males!

If you feel the kittens move for real already a week ago, she is later on then 51/2 week.   Probably week 7, maybe even 8.  so, at most two weeks left, perhaps even just  one week.
