Hi everyone
We had 2 cats who we got at 4 weeks old (we live in Vietnam and they were rescue kittens). One of them ran away 6 weeks ago after being here for 2.5 years. The one left behind has been so depressed it is heart breaking! While we were away for the holidays she stayed at the local vet in their cattery and had a blast mothering and looking after all the younger cats. We were recommended to get a new kitten to keep her company.
We got a new 3 month old kitten 3 days ago from the rescue centre. We took him straight to the vet who wormed him and checked him over. She said he has woms and we need to keep him away from our other cat until they have passed. She also said that he has only had one vaccination and should n't be with the old cat until having his second shot.
Is this right? Will i really need to keep them apart for three weeks? I would appreciate any advice!
