The Kardashians and their assorted liasons

La Donald...way at the top of the list

Ryan Seacrest (actually, I'm just sick of American Idol.  Love the first couple of seasons, then it became an upscale version of "The Gong Show.")

Any number of reality tv people who ought to know better.  I'm done with redneck tv in any form more "real" than a comedy.

Anybody from the Westboro Baptist so-called Church. Hateful, hateful people, all in the name of the Lord, of course.

I dont actually knoww who that is and I am so glad.
He became "famous" as the guy who was living in OJ Simpson's guest house when Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson were murdered. Most turnips are smarter than this guy.

I agree 100%. Funny how they never preach anything except the anti gay thing.

Did you know that Fed Phelps, the founds of the WBC had been kicked out of the church before he died? According to his grandson he was kicked out for supporting gay rights. :clap2:

Fred's daughter Shirley (who has long been their spokeswoman) has been asked about her father being kicked out of the church and will not discuss it.

I think a lot of the fundamentalist type churches, not all but a lot are completely obsessed with what people do in the bedroom.   As long as we are talking about consenting adults of course, there are far more important things to be concerned about than people's sex lives.

A-Rod is not so bad. Maybe that's the Yankee fan in me talking, but I do feel like he's been a target because of how good he is, and he was scapegoated for the steroid era. That's not excusing him for taking PEDs, but he was suspended for an entire season despite never testing positive, while guys like Ryan Braun -- who tested positive TWICE -- were serving 25- and 50-game suspensions. That's grossly unfair, and it smacks of Bud Selig doing some last-minute scapegoating to make it look like he addressed the steroid problem in baseball and burnish his legacy as commissioner.

But the truth is, the steroid era happened entirely on Bud Selig's watch, and Selig allowed it to happen. He turned a blind eye to it for more than a decade because the explosion of power numbers was good for the sport. Then, when he could no longer ignore it because of all the headlines, investigations and congressional hearings, he did as little as possible to address the issue. Seriously, if you remember, the extent of Selig's "battle" against steroids was doing passive-aggressive things like not showing up when Barry Bonds broke the HR record.

As far as I'm concerned, Selig's legacy is trash, and he is the worst commissioner in baseball's history. Instead of truly addressing the PED problem, he singled out one guy -- Alex Rodriguez -- and brought the hammer down on him, doing absolutely nothing about the many other cases of players testing positive. The fact that pitchers have become so dominant in the post-steroid era just proves how massive and pervasive the problem was when hitters were juicing like crazy.

Anyway....

"Celebrities" and famous people I dislike:

- The Kardashians and Jenners. All of them. They are a disease on this society.

- Frauds like Theresa Caputo, John Edward, Chip Coffey, and anyone else who claims to be a medium or psychic. They are grief vampires who prey on the vulnerable.

- Daniel Handler, the clown who wrote Lemony Snicket. He is living proof that you can say absolutely awful, racist things and come away without a scratch if your politics are "correct."

- Sean Penn. I hope he gets prosecuted for not only meeting with, but glorifying a drug lord responsible for tens of thousands of violent deaths.

- Likewise, Sabrina Rubin Erdely and the entire editorial staff of Rolling Stone. Let's look at the scoreboard, shall we? 1) A cover story and cover photo glorifying one of the Boston bombers as if he's a rock star. 2) Flouting every single basic rule of journalism by writing a one-source story about a rape that never happened, slandering an entire school and a group of students, and making it infinitely more difficult for women who were really raped to be taken seriously. 3) The abovementioned Sean Penn story on El Chapo: Casting an ultraviolent druglord in a worshipful light, employing the purplest of prose to depict him as a simple man unfairly targeted by authorities, and once again ignoring basic, time-honored rules of journalism by giving this ruthless druglord the final edit on the story. Rolling Stone has really been winning lately, hasn't it? [/sarcasm]

- Joel Osteen: Sorry, but I can't find anything in the Bible that says Jesus wants you to have a garage full of expensive cars, a house worth $10 million, and a personal fortune that makes Scrooge McDuck look like a pauper.

- Tucker Carlson, George Will, Bill Kristol, Charles Krauthammer, Jonah Goldberg, Andrea Tantaros, and pretty much everyone at Fox News and establishment, old-money GOP mouthpieces for treating this country like their personal ATM, pushing policies that enrich themselves.

- Tucker Carlson, Glenn Beck, and the clowns who run Brietbart: You are not journalists. You should not pretend to be journalists or play at being journalists. Truth is not something that exists in service to ideology. Likewise with their counterparts on the left, particularly Slate and Salon magazines.

- Anita Sarkeesian, Rebecca Watson, Phil Plaitt, Chris Kluwe, Brianna Wu, the editorial staffs of Kotaku and Polygon: For almost four decades, gamers have quietly existed in our own subculture, not bothering anyone. Never before have I seen a subculture under assault like gamers have been the past two or three years. Gaming is a hobby. It shouldn't be politicized and it shouldn't be destroyed by idealogues trying to reshape it according to their warped beliefs. In other words: Leave us alone!

Pretty much can agree with you on everything you just said, Plan, except that I still find A-Rod annoying. I'm a St. Louis Cardinal fan, and I find the hypocricy of Mark McGwire revolting. I knew for years he wasn't playing level, even when he came to St. Louis. He was skin and bones when he came to the majors in '86; 10 years later he looked like Paul Bunyan. I'm not a gamer, so I am not familiar with the people you mentioned in your final paragraph, but I will take your word for it. I find televangelists repulsive; they prey on those who are thirsting for spiritial knowledge, and I see very little difference between them and "psychics". Not trying to inflame people here; if I have done so, I apologize. But it's what I feel, and believe. I also have problems with hacks who think they are reporters, simply because they have convinced a select few that they are. Get the facts, and get them straight,; is that so hard to do?

Never really thought of Bruce, or should I say Caitlyn, Jenner as a rel problem. Compared to the rest of that freakshow called the Kardashians, he/she seemed almost normal, and that's saying something.

Yeah I agree. I used to watch that stupid show. Caitlin is way better than most of the rest of that family. The worst one is Kris closely followed by Kim.

Also am not a fan of Kanye West. Absolutely hated what he did to Taylor Swift at that awards show a few years back. Disgusting.

OMG who doesn't annoy me, might be the better question.  I don't much care for that little girl with the big voice and long hair, can't remember her name, ever since that donut-licking incidence.  She seems a tad full of herself.  The Kardashians, that goes without saying, also the Duggars especially Jill and Jessa seem to be self-obsessed bigots which I can't stomach especially since that cat/sled incidence.  ALL politicians, no matter what party.  They are all psychopaths.  I'd rather be forced to see Honey Boo Boo's mom cook sketti all day long than any of the above.  And that's saying a lot!

I was going to hate on Taylor Swift since she's so popular but she gets a big break from me since she loves cats!
