OK so I finally received my two bags of dry food and I mixed it with their old 3/4 old to 1/4 new, and they're all picking out the new food pieces and leaving most of the old! I haven't seen any changes in the litter yet but today was the first day. Should I keep mixing them as suggested on the bag or just give them the new?

ETA: I'll be mixing it 3/4 old to 1/4 new for two days then mix 1/2 and half then 3/4 new and 1/4 old and then all new... each for two days.

I would keep mixing it just in case they eat some of the old food and to hopefully avoid tummy issues, but it sounds like they love the new food and are doing well with it, yay!

If their bowl movements are good then you can increase the new food and less of the old food. With some cats you can transition them quickly and others more slowly so go at whatever pace works for your cats. Glad they like their new food!

Thanks! With my two old cats I never mixed and instead just gave them the new type usually with no ill effects but with the one kitten having a sensitive tummy I didn't wanna mess around. Although she doesn't seem to be bothered by the switch at all! I'm happy about it actually since they were eating Friskies dry food and now the young ones get origen kitten and cat and the old ones get go fit and free.

OK tried one of the new wet foods. ..it was better received than I thought it would be. The one kitten gobbled it up, the boy had to be encouraged by touching some of the broth to his lips then he dove in but the third and my picky little girlonly licked the broth and left all the meat. That's something though usually she just walks away lol.
Will try another type in a couple days. ..with me switching over their dry I don't want to be introducing other new types.

My cats prefer Orijen and Acana to any other dry food.  I tried mixing other grain free dry foods and they always seem to prefer the Orijen.

That's funny because mine seem to prefer the go fit and free to the origen. The two old cats don't really like the good stuff and want the old garbage food still... lol cats!
