HI ,
My almost two year old kitty had a dental today and the vet saw a hard substance (she thought may be tartar build up but was not sure) behind her back molars and she removed it. Along with this some tiny baby teeth came out. She said it was pressing into my kitty's palate and must have been causing pain. She said actually she has never seen anything like that before! Reason I took her in was because she had been pawing at her mouth. I did once let he gnaw on a raw turkey neck (very small piece) on advice of other vet to help clean her teeth. Is it possible that some tiny bones from the turkey neck lodged behind her tiny teeth and that's what the vet saw? Really strange...
