I am brand new to site. I have a 7 year old tabby boy who has lost 2 lbs over past 2 months. He is eating drinking voiding playing ect as usual. I brought him to the vet normal exam and lab results all good stool smear mormal. He seems fine and since he is still over 12 lbs (he is a big boy!) he is at healthy weight so vet is not concerned. However, why the weight loss?? Has anyone had a similar experience with a kitty? We recently moved but he seemed to adjust ok to new house.

It's possible he's just getting a bit more exercise too if he's been busy exploring the new place. Although I'm not sure it would be so much as to lose two pounds in two months.
