Hello!

I recently dropped my cat off at the vet which resulted in a stay over the weekend for observation (he's fine, just ongoing issues). When I finally got to speak with someone on Monday, they mentioned he was dirty and had fleas (!?!?). I asked them to check to make sure we were talking about the same cat here since my cat was not dirty nor had fleas when he went in. My other pets were checked out with a fine tooth (flea, ha) comb and NOTHING, no fleas. My house is sprayed yearly and my animals are my kids - if they even sneeze funny, I know.

My question, how do I handle this? He's supposed to come home today or tomorrow - do I give him a bath? Do I separate him from the others? I don't want to infest my home and other pets if I can help it. They put Frontline on him yesterday, but they reminded me that there will be eggs. I know I will need to continue to treat him, but I would like to prevent the spread as much as possible.

Thank you for any and all advice!

Can they give him a Capstar pill?

I would treat all the animals in your house with Advantage before the other cat returns.  Prevention is best.  It will kill any flea that lands on them.
