I have her box ready. I have had it by my bed in my bedroom where it is dim lighting and its quiet so I'm always there when she needs me. And I wasn't going to trim it but she kept trying to lick the fur away and she had too much so she kept getting hairballs so I trimmed it down a bit for her just so it would be easier for her to clean herself.

Okay so I have another question. Is it normal for some mommy cats to not have milk yet? I mean her nipples are a bit more pink but not like I've seen in most other cats. Should i go get some extra kmr? I already have some but if she doesn't have milk by the time they are born then i am going to need a lot more to feed them. Also I'm pretty sure she is almost ready cause she is running all over the house (we have a 2 story so she is running everywhere) and she is like licking and gnawing at herself all over. She is also meowing almost non stop now which is completely out of the normal for her because she is usually very calm and quiet. She is also wanting attention non stop so I hope it is almost time.

Yes, some moms don't get milk in until after they are done delivering.  That said, it can never hurt to have kmr for backup!

We recommend using powdered KMR.  The pre-mixed are not consistent and some give diarrhea to the mom and kittens.  You  will also need small needleless syringes 1 -2 ml, since kittens who are nursing will not take a bottle.

Any kittens yet?

No kittens yet....sadly. I have both powder and pre-mixed and I already have syringes from my last cat that gave birth. But nope...no kitties just yet. She keeps going back and forth it seems. I mean one minute she is panting, not eating, pacing back and forth, wanting attention constantly, and meowing non-stop and the next minute she is aggressive, extremely sleepy/tired, quiet, and just the exact opposite of how she was acting. But she is still licking herself and her area non stop no matter what. This cat is trying to confuse me lol.

Yea i read that cats can do this for up to a week before they actually go into labor. I guess its just a waiting game now till the real thing comes! Thank you everyone for the advice and if i have anymore questions i will just use this thread to ask them! Fingers crossed for some kittens by sometime this week!

Haha so you understand my pain! It sucks but it is worth the wait. Hows your girl doing and what does she look like? Is she the kitty in the picture?

shes okay shes acting a bit different.

usually at this time of night when im awake shes beside me on the couch sleeping like this is a ritual for her... now shes kinda keeping her distance but close enough... as soon as i get up shes following me. every once in a while she gets up chatters a bit then runs under the bed which is odd but she only stays under for like 10 minutes then comes out.

and yes thats her in my picture!! it was taken last week.... she is actually much bigger now and i can feel the kittens move inside of her. i went out and bought a long and short rubbermaid ( like the ones you would slide under your bed) and put her blanket and the pee pads down in it and then put that on my bed and she was in it for a while, hopefully if she choses my bed shell have them in there so that way i can lift the whole thing without touching the kittens or bedding to get them off my bed.

hows yours doing?

awh well i hope she does good with labor and doesnt have any problems. My cat just started acting really weird a couple of hours ago. She is desperately trying to get in my window and get outside to the point that she has torn down my shades twice and she was literally running/prancing back and forth, up and down the stairs, and all throughout the house earlier. I have no clue what is going on. She is seriously acting like she is in heat.

She is also drinking water like non stop for some reason and actually panting like a dog (tongue out and everything) Could that mean she is close or in pre-labor?? Anyone????

She has only gotten out a few times since i got her but i thought she was neutered...or so i was told by the woman who gave her to us. Apparently not so when she got out I didnt think anything of it. She started panting at around 8:00 pm and she has been scratching at the window shades and she wont quit following me. She even hopped up onto my computer stand and sat infront of the screen when i got back on my computer lol. I'm not sure if it is time or not because she is sleeping now so idk. I will update as soon as something new happens!

Yea I think she's in early labour for sure. Panting and acting anxious are signs that the kittens are coming soon. Good luck!! I'll be online if you need help!

It does sound like kittens will be happening soon! Just wondering - if you were told she was spayed, why did you think she was going into heat? And I think you'll find that sitting in front of the computer is a classic cat move, pregnant or not!
