Would this feral cat have a chance at a domestic life?

I know feral cats can come in varying degrees of human trust. I have a small colony of 'community cats' in my apartment complex, who are scheduled to be trapped and spayed/neutered next week.

They're all pretty friendly, but one in particular seems to love attention. We put a bed up on a chair for him, and he sleeps there almost all day. We feed him daily, and he'll even ignore the food for a while so he can keep getting pets. Even let's me pick him up for short periods. He's probably about 9 months old, I've watched him grow up since he was a kitten.

Do you think this cat has a chance at a domestic life? I'm willing to bring him in and foster him until he's comfortable indoors and I can find someone to adopt him.

Forgot to mention that the chair with the cat bed is on our patio. I haven't brought him onside yet.

Although he has ran into the house twice when I opened the front door, but our dog scared him and he ran back out.

He is apparently a given candidade for a try.  Now, do y ou mean to keep him as an inside / outside cat if he so wish, is surely no problem at all.

To keep him as inside only should also go nicely.  Cats whom were homeless for real, are often surprisingly easy to get them be indoors only.  Some even refuse to get out, although the owner proposes it...  They KNOW it can be scary and really bad outside.

While a home in-out cat, can always run home if he gets scared or hungry....

The only is, you must plan on this with the dog.   Have the cat in his own room for a while, and land there.   In the meantime, the dog will notice the cat is living in, and under your protection, ie part of the pack.   And thus, the dog will protect the cat too...

Tx for caring!

Good luck!
