i am currently feeding my cat Weruva and Wellness chicken and beef, was looking into Halo spots stew can food, seems like have good review but some say has too much veggies. Any thoughts/experience?
I think you could do better for the same price. It has way too many filler ingredients and not enough protein. My cat liked it but it was't really enough protein. It also has a high amount of carbs for a wet cat food. Also... I just read it contains GARLIC? Which is toxic to cats. Halo really needs to educate themselves lol.
Too many veggies, not great quality for the price. I'd probably look at Merrick LID, Hound and Gatos, or NV LID, which don't contain any veggies for similar price.
My cats like Halo's Spot's Pate and Impulse lines. But about a month ago I was at Petco and I accidentally grabbed 2 cans of salmon Spot's Stew instead of Spot's Pate while all their food was on sale. My 2 non-ckd cats inhaled one can. They don't normally even like non-pate style food. So later, i was looking at the other flavors on Chewy to maybe order more and saw that all the Spot's Stews have garlic near the end of the ingredients list. How bad that for them? Would it be okay to feed every once in awhile? Or should I just stick to the Halo pates? They also like Nutro and Nutro Max Cat right now and have always liked Friskies and Iams pates.
