Hello everyone, I actually joined a few months ago to get help with questions about a mother and kittens I was fostering, and I think now is the time for proper introductions. I've been using this site since last to help me deal with the sudden loss of of my cat, Dubs, and have a thread in the Crossing the Bridge subforum if you'd like to hear his story.
I'm 25 and a Groomer's Assistant, I live with my boyfriend and our dog and cat. I've been working with animals for about 4 years now, and I have certifications from the grooming industry. I also work with (primarily) dog rescue as my boss is the president of one. I foster animals from time to time. I have a soft spot for special needs and senior animals.
First, I will introduce you to my baby boy, the light of my life, Rudolf. Rudy is 6 years old now, his birthday is April 1st, and I have known him since the day he was born. He's the child on a friend's cat who was never spayed. Rudy was born with a malformation of the front left leg and only walks on 3, he has a sweet disposition and is a gentle soul unless you happen to be a rodent.
Now, for my buddy, Hook. He's and old shepard mix who had a hard life before he came to me. He lived with my grandfather, who chained him to a porch and gave him table scraps for food. They day I moved out of my parents house, I stole him, and I haven't been back to my grandfather's since. He is a wonderful, gentle old soul who has never shown any sign of aggression is his entire life, even when I child startled him and grabbed him by the face. He loves his cats brothers and is content to let them share his bed. Hook has some digestion problems and also deals with mild epilepsy, but he'll always be there waiting for a good butt scratch.
I'll still tell you about Dubs, who was tragically lost yesterday. He was the loudest voice in our house, and we miss him so much. He was a cuddler and a jerk all at the same time, but our house will never be the same without him. He was the littermate to my cat and was my boyfriend's best friend. We'll hold him in our heart forever.
Here are also the foster animals I've helped on there journey to their forever homes!

Thank you for reading, also, I'm always available for any questions about grooming, I don't have all the experience in the world, I am however knowledgeable.
