My kittens are almost 7 months old and Blaze our little male is becoming amorous.

When is a good time to get him done? Also he is very small and how do I put this not very developed in that area yet. Is that a better thing? Or should I wait untill he's develped more? Graycie was a year old when he was done and very developed.

Also the three other kittens are female. When would a good time be to get them done?

Gee, I sound like I know nothing

The aspca does kittens as young as 8 weeks. They do not need to be devolped. My vet says 4-8 monthes is best, older is fine but it is good to get them done young.

Nico may be a cryptoorchid, i.e., his testicles may not have descended into his scrotum. It's important that you have this checked out by a vet, because, although it might make him sterile because of the higher temperature, it will not influence his drive, and he could very well start marking, wandering, etc.. Also, there are indications that cryptoorchids have a higher rate of testicular cancer.

I had Zeus neutered at 3 months, 3 weeks and he was fine! My vet usually waits until they are 4 months old and 5 pounds. Zeus was over 5 pounds at the time. Get them done now!

Himmymommy, you can still get your boy neutered. Not to be rude, but are you sure it's a male? That's strange how his testicles haven't dropped. I had a Siamese who only had one until he was 8 months old! Some vet's here charge for a male AND a female fixing when both testicles aren't present.

himmy as jcat said he is probably cryptoorchid. The vet can explore for the recessed testicle and find it (usually) sometimes they can only find one. But they can do the neuter.

There's no place like home
I had 2 kittens that matured late. We had them checked once a month from the time they were 5 months old, and even though we didn't see anything "pop out" so to speak, the vet could feel them when they were about 7 months old and we had them neutered immediately.
