I visited someone in November, but I think the last time for me was when I found a tick on myself a few years back. I had the tick, brought it in to be analyzed for Lyme, had blood drawn and started the antibiotics for Lyme disease. Thankfully the tick wasn't infected.

Last time was April of 2013, I was unable to lift myself from a sitting position to standing.  My legs would not let me stand.  I had to call 911 and was taken to the hospital and then to rehab for a month.  I still have problems walking at times.

In October, I broke my left shoulder in 2 places. It did not send me to the ER, but I did have to have surgery to repair the shoulder. Three months later, I am still recovering, but doing better. Guess what I did to break my shoulder, tripped over one of my larger ferals, Marmalade. Oh brother, can't believe I am telling you all this, oh well, cat's out of the bag now!!! LOL

Good morning. :sun:

I've been poorly-sick this week. I thought I was just coming down with a cold, but then I started to get stomach pains too and things just got worse from there. I ended up going to hospital where they put me on a drip and gave me a load of different pills to take.

I'm feeling a bit better now and hey, no need to go on that New Year diet anymore. Three days of not eating have flattened my stomach again. :bigthumb:

When was the last time you went to hospital? What was it for? How long before you were back to normal?
Hope you are feeling better.

I don't remember the last night I was admitted as a patient, probably in the 70's. I did have a visit to the ER seven or eight years ago for an attack of diverticulitis. It was such a bad experience, I have said all I want to about it. :lol3:

Last time I went to the ER was in summer of 2015 for a migraine with uncontrolled nausea. I knew all I needed was an initrex injection but it was a night of emergencies far worse than mine. Among the memorable events of the night - someone dressed up as a nurse stole the pain medicine from someone having a gall bladder attack. It took hours but I finally got my injection and walked out feeling physically fine but shaking my head at the depths to which people can sink.
Holy cow!

Your broken shoulder story is better than mine!  Mine was a comedy of errors.  I was looking at a camera I was carrying instead of where I was walking, stepped off a small (about 3-4") step, turned my ankle, then the rug I stepped onto started to slide, I grabbed a chair to catch myself....that happened to be an office chair on wheels, which then went flying....

Good grief.

My broken arm resulted, at work,  when my foot got caught on a wheel of a stretcher  sticking out, instead of it being in the proper position! Yes, the last person in the room, moved the stretcher and did not think to put the wheel in the correct position---guess who? Yup, my supervisor!. My foot caught on the wheel, I went flying on to counter, grazing the cabinet drawers. I broke the upper arm near the shoulder. I was caught up against the cabinet drawers.

I had to literally pull my arm down by my side. I had to be helped up, almost lifted because most of my weight fell on my bad knee.

This all resulted in shoulder problems which will continue for the rest of my life.

A few months ago. I got to where I couldn't take a deep breath. It was getting harder to breath and began to hurt. I went in was given a breathing treatment and an inhaler. I had caught a virus from my kids. It only took a week to get where I could breath again. The problem is I have caught another bug from them. Thankfully I have the inhaler. Hopefully we will both be better soon.

Oh betsygee, at least your misfortune was a funny story, (sorry, that you hurt yourself aside, of course ) and the circumstances that let up to it is amusing, but mine, well I guess an eye roll would sum it up perfectly. Honestly, it is so stupid that I cannot believe I am telling you good people about it. LOL
