any hello kitty collector's here (the toys)?

i think hello kitty has the most adorable toys for little girls so now that my granddaughter is 2 i'm starting to buy a few of the sets. i ordered the rescue set that has an ambulance and helicopter, a fashion set, about 20 of the figures from ebay (the cheapest!), a clock that has a little hello kitty that comes out on a track and dances, the pet clinic which is shaped like kitty's head and comes with a bunch of little animals. i've got my eye on some of the retired sets on ebay.. 

got to get a house but can't make up my mind. they have so many cute sets to choose from!

anyone here a collector?

Are these really for your granddaughter?  You sound quite taken with Hello Kitty.

Yes! I love Hello Kitty. I'm a bit "Meh" about most of the Japanese kawaii stuff, but I really like Kitty Chan. I collect the little cell phone straps that have Kitty on them. You can get them pretty much everywhere in Japan and they often come dressed up in the traditional clothes for that region. I started collecting them when I first came here, thinking they'd be a light weight, easy to pack souvenir of all the places I visited. Then I decided I was staying and my Kitty Chan collection was staying with me.

I'll have to post some pictures. I've just installed a new hard drive and haven't downloaded the photo developer thingy yet.
