Hello!

I am not that experienced with kittens. The last time I had one I was only 2 years old myself. I grew up around cats though!

He is orange with an interesting pattern, and he was really friendly when I went to pick him up! Originally I had gone to the kitten person's home for a fuzzy black kitty, but this little orange one stole my heart.

He's always purring and he just sleeps on my lap.

I noticed this morning that his third eyelids are showing in both eyes. He also has diarrhea and vomitted a bit (I think he ate something, there was some weird plastic-y string in it). I hope there's nothing too serious wrong. I booked an appointment at the vet for him tomorrow.

I was thinking probably the diarrhea is just caused by a change in food? (I couldn't find the food they were giving him before I adopted him, so I bought him the Hill's Veterinary kitten food in cans and dry versions. He only eats the canned food, and to be honest he did not have very much all day today. I only gave him about a quarter of the can and he ate less than a quarter of that quarter! He drinks water though!)

I was wondering what you guys think it could be? Maybe he's just sad :< I know kitties need time to adjust to a new home.

Please let me know what you think

If you have any name ideas too, that would be great :D

So far I was thinking either Pumpkin, Melon or Pancake >//<

Thanks

It's good you're taking him to the vet tomorrow as his problems might be caused by whatever it was he ate. He may not have thrown it all up and since there was a string present, there is always the danger of the string getting tangled up internally. Kittens are constantly getting into things so this is not uncommon. Be sure to kitten proof your home if you haven't done so already.

If your kitten's symptoms worsen or he seems in pain, you should take him to an emergency vet. Hopefully that won't be necessary but do keep a very close eye on him. [emoji]128064[/emoji]

I'm really partial to orange tabbies having once had a very special little guy. I wanted to name him Fred but my daughter wanted Milo so Milo it was. I like all your name choices, especially Pumpkin but would like to add Fred to your choices!

Welcome to TCS! When you get a chance we would love to see photos of your little boy. And please keep us updated on how he does. [emoji]128062[/emoji]

Thank you for welcoming me :D! I'm happy to be here~!

He seems a bit better today. He ate some of his new food (not much, just a few kibbles, but that's a start!) and he has been pooping (still diarrhea :<) and drinking water and peeing. Hopefully there's nothing too serious going on with him, but I will find out in a few hours when I'm at the vet!

Thanks for adding Fred to the names list :D I will consider it!

My boyfriend really likes the name Melon, and my sister added the name Calcifer!

I hope he starts to feel better so he can show his personality so I can decide what to name him! I feel bad calling him lil kitty xD
