I posted this elsewhere as well but this is on my mind is it safe to feed treats like that? I've got...

Feline Greenies - July 15, 2015
Wellness Kittles - October 2015

So I'm curious about others views or what they've been told on the subject. I'm thinking of just tossing them though their not opened specially the Greenies.

Boy, that's a tough one.  I just don't know....

I've eaten people food past it's expiration date, but I can smell it and know if it still smells "right".
Not sure you can do that with cat food or treats.  I'm guessing they're probably ok, but not sure I'd take the risk, because if they aren't, cats are so good at hiding illness, if they don't throw up, you might not know if something else is going on.

Usually the best buy date is when the guaranteed analysis is well, guaranteed. After that the food might loose some of it's integrity or go a bit "stale." It's not very likely something highly processed like Greenies is going to start growing harmful bacteria that quickly. Even if it did, your cats body is much more acidic then ours and their digestive track is extremal short. Their bodies are meant the handle bacteria much better then ours, it's not likely that your cats GI track could even absorb the bacteria that probably didn't grow anyways.

Yes, it's easy enough to error on the side of caution and throw out the treats. It's not IMPOSSIBLE that it could make your cat ill. Just very, very, very unlikely.

I would throw them out to be safe, but if you fed any I wouldn't be concerned at all :)
