I noticed my cats cheek was swollen today. I thought it was her fur at first. She is still eating a little, and she does not seem to be in pain when I touch it. Does anyone know what this might be?

I noticed my cats cheek was swollen today. I thought it was her fur at first. She is still eating a little, and she does not seem to be in pain when I touch it. Does anyone know what this might be?
It could be any number of things. I think someone here had a cat like that that had a cyst. I've had one like that that had a (benign) tumor that required surgery to remove it. You should have her checked out at the vet.
This may be a weird question, but is there any smell coming from her ear on that side?

What a pretty girl! Good eye for catching the swelling, too. I'd get her to the vet for a check to see what exactly is going on as we can really diagnose her. As Donutte has already mentioned, it could be anything from a cyst to a tumor or even a swollen bite of some kind.
